Dr. Richard Hawkins
Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Richard Hawkins teamed with Dr. J. Richard Steadman in 1990 to found the prestigious Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado. In 2004, Dr. Hawkins relocated to Spartanburg, South Carolina, and along with several colleagues, established the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. Dr. Hawkins is recognized as one of the top orthopaedic surgeons in the world. He specializes in shoulder, elbow and knee reconstructive surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Hawkins has written seven textbooks in shoulder surgery that are in use throughout the world today and has published more than 200 medical articles and educational videos. He has been listed as one of 100 of America's Best Doctors.
