South Carolina Center for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Sciences
The South Carolina Center for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Sciences is a partnership among USC, Smith & Nephew Corporation and ORFC focused on the development of novel biological materials and optimal rehabilitation and reconstruction techniques, guided by epidemiology and clinical research to enhance the quality of life for people with orthopaedic disorders.
The Center originated via a $5 million dollar grant by the Smith & Nephew Corporation and was matched by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education through the SC Endowed Chair Center of Excellence program.
Through this investment, scientists will be recruited to the State and citizens will benefit from economic development activities that will be generated from the collaborative initiatives.
