The 5th Annual Steadman Hawkins Sports Medicine Symposium was held June 12-13. Over 150 attendees invested 1½ days together discussing Sports Medicine topics and applying this learning in break out sessions. This year’s program featured guest lecturers from Nike Sports Medicine Lab and a concentration in Nutrition and Performance led by Dr. Ann G. Kulze. Dr. John Kuhn of Vanderbilt University also provided a talk on the treatment of shoulder instability.
This program has grown each year and continues to feature a unique cross section of specialties within the Sports Medicine arena. Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians and students from the United States and Canada make up the audience.
